An independent workshop with a straightforward approach to vehicle and RV repair.
Odessey RV Repair was established in Market Harborough by Mark Odessey following more than a decade of working in main dealer service departments. The motivation for starting independently was straightforward: to run a workshop where the focus is on doing the job properly, communicating clearly with customers, and not being driven by upselling targets or manufacturer quotas.
Since opening, the workshop has grown steadily through referrals and repeat business. The team is small by design — it allows us to maintain quality and ensure that customers deal with the same people each time they visit.
We work on both conventional vehicles and recreational vehicles, which is a combination not all garages offer. RVs in particular have habitation systems — gas, water, 12V electrics — that require knowledge beyond standard automotive training.
Every job starts with a clear assessment. We explain what we've found, what it means in practical terms, and what the options are before any work begins. If something isn't safety-critical, we'll say so — and let you decide how to prioritise.
We don't use language designed to create alarm. If a component is worn but not yet in need of replacement, we'll note it as an advisory and monitor it at the next service. If something needs immediate attention, we'll be clear about why.
Written quotes, written job reports, and clear invoices are standard practice. We keep a digital record of work carried out, which is useful for tracking maintenance history over time.
Quotes are provided before work begins. Invoices reflect what was agreed. No surprises.
We use quality parts and follow correct procedures. The aim is a job done properly, not just quickly.
If something doesn't need doing yet, we'll say so. Our job is to give you accurate information, not to generate additional work.
The team maintains current training, particularly in diagnostics and evolving vehicle technology. We invest in equipment to do the job properly.
Whether it's a routine service or a complex fault, we'll give you a straight answer about what's needed and what it will cost.
